Membership fees for 2020/2021

 

During this extraordinary time, the club committee has thought long and hard about how best to manage membership fees for the coming year. In line with government and LTA guidelines, the club remains closed, yet we must continue to plan to ensure there is a thriving club to return to once we are able.

 

We are determined to ensure that members who may be experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 are able to maintain their membership. We are also working hard to make sure that the club weathers what is likely to be a challenging year financially.

 

With these factors in mind, we are proposing three membership options for 2020/21:

 

  1. Continue to pay full membership fees for 2020/21

    Members, if they wish and are able, can choose to pay the full year’s fee (in 10 monthly instalments or in one go). As a club, we will be hugely grateful that these funds will help support the club in what is likely to be a challenging financial year.

  2. Pro-rata membership options

    When virus restrictions are lifted and the club can reopen, we will create the option for members to join pro-rata for the months of the year that remain. So, for example, if there are 8 months left in the tennis year, we will ask for two thirds of the year’s membership fees.

    Members wishing to pay a pro-rata membership fee should wait until we have more clarity on when the club will reopen, upon which we will contact members with next steps.


     

  3. Financial hardship

    If you or your family has been affected financially by COVID-19 and the economic impact it is causing, the club and its committee wants to make sure members do not have to rescind their membership.

Social Responsibility

At Moseley Tennis Club we understand that from time to time we may find ourselves between jobs or something else which means we have to tighten the financial belt. We recognise that sport can be important to be able to relax and relieve stress. If this applies to you then contact us for rates which will make this possible. We will however require written proof of your situation.
